Hello Ugly Kitty

I'd originally noticed "ugly kitty" 3 weeks ago, my first thought being that is the ugliest thing I've ever seen and I quickly moved on. On my last trip to the thrift store, I noticed that this sad looking kitty was still there. I also noticed that the frame was in decent shape and I could definitely use it for something else. The back was dated April 1st, 1976. Jeez, this kitty is even older than me!

So for $5.99, "ugly kitty" came home with me that day. Once home, the kitty didn't seem so ugly, it was kinda cute now...in a vintage way. I couldn't bring myself to remove the kitty from its frame so now it just sits on the fireplace mantle....staring at me.

OMG I got saleS

After purchasing a showcase for last Thursday, I had a surge of sales. Ok, well maybe not a surge but I felt busy. I also realised I had no system to deal with multiple sales. I often repeated the same steps - did I confirm the Paypal address, what size goes with what Etsy user ID ? I decided I needed to create a system to deal with future sales (fingers crosses).

So I made a simple table in Word that will help me stream line sales. Hopefully, I've included all the essential elements. If anyone has more suggestions, I would love to hear them.

Front page

Yay! Today I made Etsy's front page. It's my first time being in the spotlight with my new tangente shop. I got tons views and new hearts! All thanks to the awesome RikRak.

I'm also happy that I've reached a milestone - 100 hearts. Ok! So maybe it's only at 99 but I'm sure I'll hit 100 soon (fingers crossed) Woohoo!

New blog and more...

I've been a bad blogger lately. I've been so busy working on new spring styles and scouring thrift shops, I haven't gotten a chance to write about anything.

However, I've been very lucky that other people have been blogging about me. First, AreYouAnArtist featured me twice on her blog "The Art of Color".

Second was on Mariposa's blog Mariposas jewels, she featured a few of my tops. I just love her necklaces.

I finally published my first post on my new Blog "I have a garden...Now what?" . The title really defines my gardening abilities!!!

Here's my latest creation:

Using leftover wool fabric, a bright necktie and a vintage brooch, I created a unique and ooak wristlet. It's sold in 1 day. Yay!
